Aerotriangulation

Aerotriangulation is completed on either analytical or softcopy stereoplotters depending on project requirements. This process performs three very important functions in photogrammetry. It reduces the number of ground control points necessary to orient a stereomodel, it ties stereo models and flight lines together as a block to create a consistent photogrammetric solution throughout the project area and it is a very useful tool for error detection in ground control.

Digital Terrain Modeling - Topographic Mapping

Topographic mapping and DTM is the mainstay of our firm. With our five Zeiss P3 Analytical stereo plotters we can produce large and small projects at any standard scale and contour interval in a timely fashion. Three of these instruments are in our Phoenix office and two are in the Las Vegas office. Map data can be captured directly in AutoCAD or MicroStation. We can output the data to many custom CAD standards for various government agencies or as topologically structured data for GIS applications. The data can also be converted to ESRI coverages or shapefiles.

Cross Sections and Volumetric Surveys

Cross sections are normally derived from a DTM or TIN surface. The most common applications are in flood control projects and for use in roadway design. Volumetric computations are usually derived from the TIN surface as well but photogrammetric cross sections are still used on occasion. Volumes are normally computed using the edge to edge method or by comparing existing conditions to design surfaces.
